Philip is responsible for SingTel's digital content strategy. He conceptualised IDEAS, SingTel's mobile content services brand and in 2003 and invented and patented SingTel's user-generated content plafrom. He pioneered the global launch of BBC Knowledge, Sony Entertainment Television and a suite of 5 HD linear and On-Demand Channels on SingTel's mioTV platform in Jul 2007. mioTV is the first TV service in the world to broadcast Hollywood movies on the same day as DVD window. It is also perhpas, one of the first in Asia to have all its set-top-boxes delivering HD.

Philip is concurrently President of Singapore's Cyber Sports Association. He is also a member of the Government's Internet and Media Advisory Council and Deputy Chairman of the Industry Advisor Council at the Communications and NEw Media Department (National University of Singapore)/

Prior to SingTel, Philip was a private equity fund manager in Temasek Holdings, the investment arm of the Government of Singapore. He began his career at the SIngapore Trade Development Board after graduating from the National University of Singapore, Upper Honours in Sociology in 1994. He wont the University's first entrepreneur of the year award after carrying out Singapore's first Bungy Jumping event in 1993.
